Flood Warning continues for Windsor & LaSalle

The Essex Region Conservation Authority advises that, the watch issued for the Region has been reinstated as a WARNING for areas of Windsor and LaSalle which are currently receiving significant rainfall. Rainfall amounts are surpassing storm drain capacities for areas throughout the western regions of the city and town.

Additional precipitation is forecasted as potential thunderstorm activity. Existing standing water may remain for a significant additional time frame.

There will be additional isolated roadway areas that may experience flooding.

Only those residents living within those areas affected should be using those roadways. The general public is advised to avoid areas potentially affected by standing water. People who must access these areas should do so with extreme caution when traversing through standing water. Children, pets and livestock should be kept away from flowing and standing water.
