TENDER for CONSTRUCTION of Greenway Resurfacing
Tenders will be received by the Essex Region Conservation Authority office at 360 Fairview Avenue West, Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 12:30.59 P.M, for the proposed resurfacing of the Essex Region Greenway in Essex County, Ontario. The work to be completed under this Tender generally consists of the following:
- Strip the grassy vegetation from the existing gravel trail.
- Resurface the existing gravel trail with 50mm thick granular screenings (approximately 42 kilometres long).
- Provisional Works: Construction of pavement at selected sections of the gravel trail and the deepening of ditches at designated locations.
Envelopes shall be sealed and plainly marked: “Tender for Construction of Greenway Resurfacing” with the name and address of the tenderer.
A Bid Bond or certified cheque or Irrevocable Letter of Credit made payable to the Essex Region Conservation Authority (ERCA) in the amount of Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00) shall be submitted with the tender.
Tenders received after the closing deadline, whether delivered personally or if mailed (regardless of postal markings), will not be opened. Fax submissions will not be accepted.
A performance bond and a material and labour payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the tender shall be furnished by the Contractor awarded this Tender, upon signing of the contract.
A public opening of this tender will be held at the Essex Region Conservation Authority, 360 Fairview Avenue West, Essex, Ontario . local time 1:00:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2017. All persons interested in this tender are permitted to be present at that time.
The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all tenders. The lowest tender will not necessarily be accepted.
Plans, specifications and form of tender are available commencing Tuesday, July 4, commencing 12:00 p.m. at the Essex Region Conservation Authority office, on the Essex Region Conservation Authority website and the Windsor Construction Association.
