Celebrate the important Detroit River for Canadian Heritage Rivers Day with a range of free paddling activities on Sunday, June 4. Learn the history and environmental significance of this Canadian Heritage River while enjoying it by canoe, kayak, or paddleboard.

Free paddle with Windsor Adventure Inc.
Location: Sand Point Beach, 10630 Riverside Drive East, Windsor, ON N8P 1A4

Join Windsor Adventure Inc. for a free one hour guided kayaking experience. Three time slots available. All safety gear and instruction provided. Paddling begins at 9:30am, 11:00am, and 12:30pm. Please arrive 30 minutes before the start of the paddle. Paddlers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Free paddle with River Canard Company
Location: 9350 Malden Rd, Windsor, ON N9J 2W6

Join River Canard Canoe Company for this one hour guided canoeing experience on the River Canard. All safety gear and instructions provided. Participants under 19 must be accompanied by an adult. Three time slot available, but space is limited. One ticket per person. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your start time. Paddling begins at 10:00am, 11:30am, and 1:30pm.

Free paddle with Paddle Anywhere
Location: 892 Riverdale Avenue, Windsor, ON N8S 4C1

Join Paddle Anywhere for a free one and a half hour guided paddling experience to Peche Island. All safety gear and instruction provided. Three time slots available. Paddling begins at 9:00am, 11:30am, and 2:00pm. Please arrive 30 minutes before the start of the paddle. Paddlers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Turkey Creek Canoe & Cleanup
Location: Vince Marcotte Park, 1495 Kipling Avenue, Windsor, ON N9J 3P5

Join Essex Region Conservation for a paddle and cleanup of the Turkey Creek watershed in LaSalle. Bring your own canoe or watercraft. For those without, a limited number of canoes and associated gear will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Gloves and garbage bags will be available for all participants. Event begins at 11:30am.
